Scott started playing his father off to work at age 4 and has been performing and teaching drum lessons since early in high school. In addition to graduating from Berklee College of Music he has studied privately with Tommy Igoe, John Ramsey, Ian Froman, Ed Uribe, Bobby Grauso, Yoron Israel and others. Scott is a member of the original band The Alice Project, has produced and played drums on the self titled Soul Jazz Trio CD with David Leonhardt and Bob DeVos. You can hear Scott performing with his New Jersey cover band Waffleband.com and he can be heard drumming every Sunday at Renaissance Church in Summit NJ. For 5 years Scott was music director for the Raritan River Club in New Brunswick, NJ. In that position he booked and performed with some of the greatest talent in straight ahead jazz, including Etta Jones, Kenny Barron, Jimmy Scott, David “Fathead” Newman, Cyrus Chestnut, and Eric Alexander. Scott has touring experience driving cross country with The Mighty Jail Breakers a 9-piece funk / rhythm & blues band . Scott has even toured with a country band (The Cramer Brothers Band) as an opening act  for many country stars, including Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Charlie Daniels Band, George Jones, Colin Raye and Toby Keith among others. Scott is currently a very busy drum instructor teaching drum lessons at his Strunk Drum Studio in Hillsborough NJ.
