My drum teaching philosophy:

One definition of the word educate, is to "BRING OUT".  I love that definition. That implies that we all have an ability in us. It is my job as an educator to bring that ability out of each of my drum students.

Practical Application:

Drum Lessons are designed for each student individually. 

Although every person serious about learning drums, and drum lessons, must have the basic skills, everyone learns differently. I enjoy the challenge of presenting materials in a way that each student will benefit from. Along with presenting the appropriate materials, I spend drum lesson time teaching how to practice. This is very important to receive the most benefit from the shortest amount of time.

I accept drum students from kindergarten through adult.

I have been teaching drums lessons to many levels of drummers for over 20 years. Many are now professional drummers, teaching drum lessons themselves, in college for music, band directors, in drum corps, and are the best drummers in their schools bands.

My Drum Studio:

The drum lesson facility is air conditioned, sound proof and comfortable . It has 2 top of the line drum sets to play on (DW &GMS). This is a vast improvement from most music stores I have taught in. Drum students can also benefit from being recorded digitally to a CD.
